Escape to Mead from The SD fires

After a few days in the smoke from fires burning N E and S of us and school canceled for the week, we had to get out of town. We waited until Wed afternoon when the winds started blowing to the East away from our house to make our escape. 3 hours later I am standing on the side of the road looking at how much damage a thrown tread can do to the front fender and door of my truck (Im guessing about $2K) after changing the tire and afew more hours of driving we make it to our place in Meadview. What a relief to be out of the smoke.
I have attached a few pics of our next 3 days. Weather was 85 and water was about 76 degs. Needles to say, the second half of the week was much better than the first half.

Nice pics. How do you get to Meadeview? How long would it take from Vegas?
