    Another pull the trigger question

My neighbor wants to sell his 2002 Chevy Silverado 3500, 4x4, diesel, crewcab, ls package with leather seats, about 60k miles. He would sell it to me for about $17k. He bought it wholesale for about $15k, he works at a dealership, and had to put a little money into it for some cosmetic things. It was owned by Pro Line boats here in Florida but I don't think it was used to deliver boats all that much. It had been backed into a few trailers, but that is some of the cosmetic things he fixed. Those trucks are made to haul so I don't think it should be a problem that a boat company owned it. I know this truck would be severe overkill for hauling the tige, but it books out between $20-25k depending on if you look at NADA or KBB. What do you-all think???

Sounds like a great price, I'd do it.

Me 2, 60k on a vortec is good miles, on a diesel, thats nothing. If it feels solid, and taken care of, I would jump on it.

The guy is a technician and said the injector problem that some of the earlier duramax diesels were having was already taken car of on this truck. I'm going to drive it a little bit and see how it is to drive around town. If it feels like a bus, I might have to pass it up for something more comfy to drive. I can't remember anyone having a dually on this site, but if there is someone I'd love to hear their input on a dually.

Take your $5K savings which is real and buy a $2K extended warranty and enjoy your $3K smart investment.

that sounds like a pretty good deal .. and that truck is prob one of the most cozy ones to take trips in but that duramax is nothing more that an isuzu diesle... and i do know that that year modle had more than just injector problems.. the aluminum heads kept warping and blowing head gaskets.. other than that is is a pretty good truck .... i think you can find a similar truck that hasnt been pulling all the time for the same price... and also ask why they are getting rid of it with 60, 000 miles.... ??? just my input.. hope this helps..
