Just curious if any has had this happen...My hour meter reset out of the blue ...We were on our 2nd to the last boating day of the year back in sept and I look down and my hour meter had reset back to 0 at some point...The weekend before it had 72 hrs and when I moved it from water temp to hrs it was showing 2 ??? currrently sitting at 9 and does not appear to have anything wrong...had the dealer look at it when I winterized they said it works fine... Man you just don't put any ours on your boat. You just got 72 hours of demo time JK I have no idea what is up with that but figured I better post to see what is going on if anyone does have an answer.

The Ecm and Gauge both store the hours. The ECM using EEPROM or such and the gauge using a more volatile method. The gauge may reset due to a voltage drop or something, but the ECM will continue to count. Here is a thread about it.
