Have a Z tower on my RZ 4. The right upright or leg or whatever you want to call it has to be beat in the last inch in or the first inch out depending if raising or lowering. In addition to that the bolts that go in the top of the uprights have already worn the threads badly due to the heli-coils that tige uses not holding up. All of this and the tower has been up and down six or seven times. For a $3,500.00 option BOY am I really thrilled. Sound off anybody and let me hear your experiences.

I like your quote, BTW.
I do not have any direct knowledge of your tower...but my dealer likes to call it the Chee-Z tower because it is a pain to get up and down. It seems very sturdy, but he wouldn't recommend it for anyone who has to get their tower up and down every trip.
Do you loosen the bolts when you put it down?Be excellent to one another.

Sounds like a problem created when it was PDI'd (pre-delivery inspection) by the dealer (striped threads anyway) but regardless of by whom or when the problem was created, the binding upright should have been fixed by your dealer long before you ever saw the boat.
I helped my dealer remove 4 boats from the hauler and place on trailers last month, and helped PDI and water test 2 of them. These things come in stacked on a trailer much like a car hauler. Towers are all folded down, mirror and uprights were boxed up in the storage compartment. I know, but it was fun.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

I do know that when I was talking to one of their sales guys, he recommended not going with the Z tower because, in his words, it wasn't really a collapsible tower. The E tower was a better choice because it collapsed lower than the Z.Work because I have to eat, ski because I have to live!

Stuff happens. Don't get down because of little things. CC, Bu, Cobalt, it doesn't matter, these are incredibly complicated pieces of machinery and things will ALWAYS go wrong from time to time. Your problem, luckily, should be a warranty fix and it should cause you a minimum of hassle. Yes it's a hassle, but I've never heard of a trouble free motorized vehicle period. Think about how many thousands of things that could go wrong but don't.Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

TallTige, my tower doesn't wobble at all, it's very sturdy. I have a 485 and a pair of 80's, theres still not much movement. I'm not sure which samson tower I have. Here's a link to my boat thread, maybe you know.
