ok, so anhaney helped me get a hold of these boat dollies. They work great, only problem was two of them had cotter pins missing on the jack lever that caused a problem. I had to mickey mouse something to get this to work. I guess I will go get some cotter pins tomorrow.
Anyway, I just started leasing this great warehouse. I have been looking for a while, but nothing I liked was available. Well, this one space came available, that is perfect. It is right on the way to the lake. It is 3 miles from my house, and 5 miles from the lake. It allows me to have storage for my business, and a small conference room to use to meet people, so I can keep my office in my bedroom.
The warehouse is split into 2 sides, each about 1000 sq ft. They are 25ft deep, and about 40 ft wide. If I had a 22ft boat, it would be perfect, just back in and leave it. But my 24Ve hangs out about 4 inches even with the tongue folded and swim platform off. So my goal is to be able to come home from the lake, and quickly put the boat away, and then ready to take out next time. It is a HUGE pain to jog the dual axle trailer to the right angle. The dollies make this MUCH easier, but not as easy as I thought. Still takes 2 guys, or me and 2 kids to move it around. I wish someone would invent a frickin caster wheel that didn't need to do a 180 to go in the other direction. You know?
Now, all I need to do is see if I can get a slightly bigger rollup door (about 6") so I don't have to take my tower down.
One more thing. I like the way the dollies have a pin to LOCK them into the up position, so I can leave them that way. Very nice.
Here are some pictures:
Here is what it looks like when I would back in straight, and then hook up the dollies.
And here is what it looks like when it is in the FINAL position:
OK, now that I know I really like these, and they work well, I need 4 more for the other side.
