    Canyon Lake, CA

I'm going to be moving into Canyon Lake in a month or so (waiting for the house to close) and I heard the other day they no longer let boats with wake enhancement devices (i.e. Taps) onto the lake.....is this true?

You cannot run ballast on the main lake. If you get caught, you get fined heavily.

You can run ballast on the back lake. Congrats with the new house and welcome to the area....

Ohhh, and they dont consider TAPS as a wake enhancement. It is good that you have a 21i though, they dont allow anything over. (Even though we have all seen a few.)

So what is the main & back lake like as far as traffic, I'm assuming the limited entrance helps but I'm sure there are busier times (weekends) than others...right? Any advice you might have about places & times to avoid, etc would be great.

Up to this point in my young boating career it has been Lake Perris (other than when I go to Havasu) and I'm sure you know how intresting that place can be on a weekend during the summer.

          Thanks again.

Early morning is still your best bet. I am not in there all the time but weekdays are always good if you can make it.
