Tige added rocker to the hull instead of hook. Page 22 of Boating Industry magazine (Oct 05 with Charlie Pigeon and the new 22Ve on the cover) states that the TAPS was introduced in 95 and TAPS 2 and the Convex V hull were released in 03.

In 1995, Tigé made a dramatic move by taking the hook out of the inboard hull. It was the first dramatic modification to the inboard hull in over 50 years. Tigé also introduced TAPS to control the running attitude of its variable hull in '95. Tigé has since refined this improvement in inboard hull design by developing the ConvexV, fully rocker hull in 2003. Tigé received a U.S. Patent on the ConvexV hull in 2004.
Hope this helps.

You are probably referring to the 102" wide beam?

Here is what the Tige.com Tige Company Timeline says. This is where I drew my question from
1997; Tige builds the industry's first 100" beam DD inboard...the 2200i
1998; Tige launches the 21V riders ed. The first boat built specifically for wakeboarding.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More
