We are in the process of buying a new 2004 22v and the dealer put the tweeters in the wrong place and told us no big deal to move them you will never know they were their. So far the repair looks bad - anyone else have a fiberglass repair done twice and have it come out looking like there was never a repair?? Also, have a crack in the gel on the bow due to dealer tightening down the rubber to much and they claim they can fix that too!?!? We have not taken possession yet and now have to decide if we want it or we order a new one (6 weeks wait) or get our money back and buy something else - any input??

holes
Yes, they for some reason put the tweeter speakers in the walk through area and have filled them and they look bad and are now trying to do it again and they created a crack in the gel on the nose of the boat. Have you experienced this with them? What kind of a discount would you expect to get??? Thanks for you input.

Gabby:
My dealer claims that this type of Gel coat repair can be done so that no one could ever tell that there was a hole made. Since you're holding all the cards (possibly for the exception of a down payment), you should stand your ground and give the dealer some reasonable time to fix the problem. I'm sure the dealer is interested in getting this fixed. For one, they have a customer to make happy. 2nd, they are probably paying interest on that boat and they will continue to do so until its delivered.
If it was me - They either fix it perfectly or I raise the issue with Tige directly. Call Andrew Reyes - Tige Customer Service Manager - at (915) 676-7777.
Please do let us know how it works out for you. I'm interested in knowing how well a hole in the Gel coat can be fixed, as there's the possibility that I may want to move a couple of tweeters myself.
Good Luck
Saulo

Thanks for your input. Part of the problem is they told us the same thing you heard "we guarantee you will never know they were their" our boat is white where the repair is and now there are two perfect square off white patches - so they have had one attempt and they have had the boat for two weeks and they thought the repair was ok. We are giving them the opportunity to try again however, where the repair is you see it every time you sit in the drivers seat and to pay $ 50,000 plus for a "brand new boat" and have an eye sore is kinda tuff to take. Not to mention we love the boat - we are not impulse shoppers - we spent three years researching and boat shopping. But if we order a new one - our kids will be back in school before we get it and going a whole summer in California without a boat is not very appealling. We will let you know what happens - they are supposed to have it ready to present to us this Tuesday - we are due to leave on a six day trip to Lake Mojave on Wed am. Say a pray and keep our fingers crossed.

I just wanted to say hi and that it was nice to talk to you. As I have stated on the phone Greg and all of them there will treat you right and you will not be able to see the repair. It will not void anything in your warranty. I have 100% confidence in them and the place where the tweeters were installed is the standard installation for their system. Please if there are any questions do not hesitate to call Greg or Myself.

Gel coat repair - yeah - success
For all of those following thise please know- Chris a@ Tige' in Corona, Calif, took care of us and we are now happy 22V owners. The gel coat looks perfect and you would not know it was repaired. And Chris did everything he could to please us. Also, I was mis-informed previously about the gel coat crack - it happened from the factory not the dealer and it is also fixed to our satisfaction. So, I am happy to report I was freaked out and did not need to be. As soon as we come back from Lake Mojave I will post some pictures of our new baby!!! Thanks again for the respones!! The people on this board rock!! We hope to see you all out in your Tige's. Thanks again.

Congratulations on your new boat, it sounds like you will now be another life long happy Tige' owner. Chris and all of the people at Tige' Watersports always come through and make their customers happy. One more reason to keep giving them all of my business!
It's a shame though that you usually have to resort to complaining to Chris to get issues resolved.
Tige' boats in Corona has an outstanding gel/fiberglass shop that works on all makes of boats.
Nothing but excellent feedback from people on their glass shop.

GEL REPAIR
I agree - it is sad that Chris has to always hear the negative and be the one to step in and fix everything - however, he does it and ends up with happy customers. I think it is hard to have patience when you are excited about something and it's costing you some serious $$$. Thanks for your input.
