What do you do for work

Saw a thread like this on a KTM website and it was very popular.Interesting to get to know people better and possibly connections.If a similar post has been posted let me know.

I am a paramedic/firefighter.Used to be one in a big city for years,now I work for a big oil company doing the same thing, just double the money and time off but 1/4 of the work.It enabled us to buy the Tige. Life is good

With that said,

I own two companies, one is a small import and distribution company specializing in the hobby industry, ( radio control cars) and the other I own with my partner Mick which is a custom sign and decal shop ( dekelz)

I work for an engineering company. I am a structural/civil designer/drafter.

I work for a compnay that sells and services on-line instrumentation for the analysis of water mostly in power plants but we work with many different industries as well. Before that I was in the parking industry for 11 years.

I am currently looking into a career change. I am checking out a school with an aviation program that will get me my commercial helicopter pilots license.

I am a nuclear cardiology technologist. Basically, I look for coronary artery blockages and wall motion abnormalities using gamma emitting (radiation) tracers.

I also own 4 businesses; a staffing agency, a sports marketing agency, a beverage distribution business, and a commercial real estate investment company. All of these are part time, low involvement, easy money type of businesses just for extra cash (or retirement investments in the case of the property). I stay pretty busy

I am a Systems Analyst (even more vague them Da) for Southwest Gas the local Natural Gas company for Las Vegas, Phoenix, Tucson, Victorville, Reno and Lake Tahoe areas.

I own a small software development firm. We specialize completely custom projects for companies with unique products and/or business models. Medium to large companies that can't use off the shelf stuff, and too small to have in house dev, or not enough expertise to manage in house dev. We build all of our own servers and have a data center in Palo Alto. This gives us a unique ability that our customers love. We build the hardware, write and maintain the software, and host it. When there is a problem, they only have one person to call. In my industry, this is a big deal, because the dev guys blame the hosting company or the hardware, and vice versa. I just keep it working.

I like to refer to my company as a Boutique software development and applications hosting company. Relatively small number of clients, and intimate level of service.
