Well, Ashley had a stand up run this morning. She did a full stand up on pass 1, then on the way back just fell on her last wake 2 wake.
She told me the nautique wake was small and horrible, completely washed out, she was surprised she didn't crash before. She put up a good score, and is hoping to make in the top 5 of 12 girls. I don't know if I will know results tomorrow or sunday.
I didn't send my wife with the canon xti, just a canon elph, still takes good pictures. But she will bring them home, and will post some. The only pictures I have is what she has sent me via her iphone.
Well, Ashley placed fifth overall in her class, there were 11 others. Its a bummer she didn't get her wildcard in or should could've placed, but I am very proud of her all the same. She was out in the rain and cold with me practicing up to the event, and I know she gave it her best.
Hey, at least she looked good with the new Hyperlite Syn, and jetpilot MVP outfit. ;-)
I am hoping to take 3 kids to USC next year. They are thinking it will be in Arizona, that will be much easier. Even better would be back to bakersfield like last year.
I will try to post some pics when they are back, but I really have no clue if she took much, my wife is not the photographer of the family.
You know, it really doesn't matter if she wins. I talked to a few folks that run our Texas INT league here and the experience is worth more than the results anyway. It's cool that she got to go. I'm hoping my son gets to go next year. It's super competitive here in Texas where the wildcard tricks for a novice division are things like a scarecrow.

Well, whitney could have gone, but I didn't let her go, cuz she just hasn't had the drive or the determination. I think the trip, with just my wife and Ashley, cost like $3k. Now if it goes back to bakersfield, I would be more likely to just let a kid go if invited just for the experience. Ashley earned it.
OK, so I got the pics. She didn't take a lot, but here are a few:
Go Tige:
Ashley's motto, if you can't be a pro, at least look good.
Here Ashley is, about to get shot from a cannon:
Fun at the hotel:
Ash with JD Webb, she says hes hot, but short. He looks to be riding the new DINE.
Gettin ready to go:
Ready, behind the crappy natique:
Ash with the pros:
This one cracks me up, because Ash looks like she is afraid the gun is going to go off. She is building quite a relationship with the hoffmans, they are my daughters are starting to hang out more off comp. Which is nice for me, get them more inspired.
Last, this is Allen. Probably the coolest guy around. He is completely selfless, always driving. He will tow my kids at the private lake, any time we bring them, and won't even take gas money. So the girls always bake him goodies to let them know they appreciate it.

The Stryper boat that is great for all you metal heads and religous fella's Congrats to her. My kids are 13 months old I hope to be throwing all kinds of dollars away some day so they can compete. Of course I won't push them TOO hard.
