    Boat/Trailer Dolly

I just found a great deal on leasing some warehouse space for all the toys, since the market is SOOO bad, I can't sell my house to get more room.

I have surfing around looking for boat dollies and stuff to help move the boat easy to get in tight space quick. I have a lot of options.

A while back, I saw a picture of a guys boat in his garage, and he had special caster dollies that he rolled up with his trailer, and easily moved it around. I think I am going to go with an electric dolly instead, but I want to look at the caster dolly to have all my options, but I can't seem to find them.

Does anyone know a website of a company that sells them?

    Thanks for the help.

OK, I finally found it. Has anyone used these before? How well do they work? They say 1500lbs per dolly, so should be fine with my 24Ve.

    Any help appreciated.

If you are talking about the GoJak dollies like these http://www.northcoasttools.com/?gcli...FQSOggod63Tv3g
I have a set of 4 and can move my 22i very easily.

        We use the power caster.
Only the two wheel version will work.
The tandem axel boat trailers are a bit fussy when used with them,
Ground has to almost perfectly flat.
One other elect brand kind is on the market.

You have to attach a special coupling with the power caster, they don't work well in the ball hitch:

I know this doesn't answer your question but here is another motorized dolly.

            Power mover is another line:

Most power dollies start around $1.100.

You can get these at any CARQUEST or NAPA store. CARQUEST is the cheapest. They are rated for 1500Lbs. Each. so 4 of them will move your boat just fine. They also come with a one year warranty. Which can be executed through CARQUEST or NAPA so yo will not have to worry about freight issues. They are $134.00 each. I have thought about getting a set of these and using them to see how the work on my jet skies to put them into my garage.

They look like they may be much easier.

The elect jacks aren't easy to use.

he OCT tools one is the one I have been looking at, good to know I can get at NAPA. I was also looking at the power dollies, but the note above about the tandem axle was in my mind.

Thanks for all the input, thats what I was looking for.

I also saw these, cheaper, but I can't figure how the hell you would drive your car or boat on them without them rolling? The OTC and GO jack type setup seems much better.

                      Check out Harbor Freight.

Just like everything else at Harbor Freight... It isn't the highest quality, but it does the job for the weekend worrior... And it is so inexpensive that if it breaks, oh well, go buy another. We used ours all season. Wife stears, I push. Works great. We even have a slight incline getting our baby into her shed. Where our shed and landscaping sits does not allow us to back the boat in the shed with the truck. Save the $1K for more boards!

I've used that kind for snow mobile's before. They work pretty good as long as you can lift the vehicle on to them. I assume with a boat trailer you would have to jack up each side put them under the tires and then lower them and repeat on the other side. Kind of a pain.

I've used this kind before. I used to be in the parking industry and if someone parked like an a**hole we would use these to move the car where we wanted it. Pretty simple to use not hard at all. Also fun to use to play a prank on someone by moving their car around on them. We moved a buddies car from in front of his house where he parked to across the street. It was pretty funny the next morning when he tried to figure out how it got there.

I think if you look closely, there are little brakes on the casters that would allow you to just put the brakes on and drive right up on there.
                            Be excellent to one another.
