Does anyone have a portable gas powered air compressor they can bring to Lake Mead. If they do I will bring the tools and you all can do injector flushes and engine carbonizing on your engines.

What kind of CFM does it need?
Original Wingnut?
Maybe we could rent one?

DOMZ06 I will not be spend all my time working on boats it only takes about 15 minutes to do the service. I want to do it to learn on diffrent boats and increase my knowledge on how each one is set up.

Anyone have a small gas generator?
It will maintain 55 PSI, but we probably have to know the CFM requirements. It depends how much air is being used to know if the compressor will keep up.Mike Allen, Tigé owner since 1997

Sometimes it will even get in behind piston rings and cause issues but that is very very rare. Carbon will soak up gas and cause you some very serious drivability issues and you will chase your tail thinking you have an injection/carburation issue. It also contributes to getting your oil dirty faster. I have even seen valves stick open from it. It is very hard stuff and takes certain chemicals to break the stuff loose. If you don't do this ever so often the only way to get it out of the engine is a tear down of the cylinder heads and valve system.

Another thing
We will need to have a long air hose so we can have the boats running. There is two options to this. We will need the boats to be running in the lake or if they have a hose hook up somewhere at the marina we can use that. I will bring my fake'a'lake if needed.
If we can't run the boats we can still do the de-carbonizing portion just not the injector cleaning. Your small pancake compressor will work for that. I just need to be able to air charge a 12oz can to turn it into a spray bottle.

I have a three small generators each a different size. I also have a small compressor. I will do a test and see which to bring as the smaller the better space wise. I will only be there on Saturday. Both units are small enough we can walk them down the dock and sit them right next to the boat. What kind of hose fittings do you need I have 1/4 and 3/8 inch fittings. If you need or would like them earlier I could possibly send them with Moki. I now he is headed down early, but don't know how much space is left in his rig. I'll pm him and see. Looking forward to the fun. Anhaney maybe you could do a tutorial on the first boat or two and then we could do this ourselves to free you up to enjoy the lake? I would love to learn and then do this when I get home and am putting the boat to bed.My dad always said "Stupid Hurts". He's yet to be proven wrong, but for some reason I keep trying.

Sounds good. I just need the standard air hose fitting that you use on shop air tools. I think it is 3/8.
I would be glad to teach you guys how to do it. I will give you the tools and let you get dirty. It is real easy to do.
I do need a tire fill valve also to pressurize the air can. I will try to remember to grab mine I just mentioned it just in case I forget to grab mine. This way I will have someone who brought an extra. Sounds like we are all set up for this. It will work out well.
This will be a fun and productive Saturday. I am looking forward to meeting everyone.
