Season over.......low water

Well, looks like our season is over, at least for us launching our boat.

The lake levels dropped another 6"+ since last weekend and the power co. said that it would drop another 9"-12" because they will have to hold water up stream in the other lakes that are a drinking source.

Friday morning, they placed K rails in front of the last remaining open ramps. The one we have been using lately, was already down to 3.2 feet at the end of the dock. You could hear the prop hitting muscles as you ease up to the dock to load.

We can go north to 1 of the other lakes (that they are holding water in) but it's about an hr drive. Kinda blows our afternoon rides as we our only 20 mins from the usual ramp.

Yep, I know the feeling. Camanche is less than half capacity, and the north shore launch ramp had barriers up last time we were there. Probably can still launch but there are so many branches and obstacles, it isn't worth it. Guess I'll call LiquidWrenches and schedule my winterization and impeller check.

Did they close Wiley? I think it is starting to get unsafe. I may be considering taking off a day this wk if you want to ride up this way. I am planning on see if Belews is ok to ride on. Went and checked out some wakeboard today. Still would rather get a wakesurfer, I really enjoyed that.

Yes, they closed the last 2 open ramps on Wylie and I dont know anyone with a usable private ramp

Wish I could, we leave out Wed morning for Vegas. At least I'll get to surf there

HQ may have an 06 24Ve that they are going to broker. Have Steve call BT or Tony.

He is set on an older boat. He wants to retire soon. I think he will look all winter and change his mind if he doesn't find something. I will tell him about Tony, if they come across something he is looking for he can go look at it.

Why yes I could but haven't taken the boat on the river yet. Only have been on it once and that was on someone elses boat. So, will need another 2-3 trips on the river before I take mine out there.

FYI: There are some wing damns on the river that swing out into the middle of the river.

Man, that sucks. We have a lake that the water go too low to launch unless you are willing to launch in rocks and gravel. Hopefully, we will have lots of snow this winter.
