Last new years we did it and it was 42 degrees. That is like 45 degrees colder than normal for us.

When it is warm most of the time your blood thins out. Plus most of the lakes are w/in 5 to 10 miles from the coast. In the winter when the wind blows it really does get cold, 65-70° water becomes like 60-65° water later in the day do to wind chills. When I lived there I use to windsurf all the time but I needed a wet or dry suit because you would freeze when you get out. It does seem funny but true. Now like anhaney said we go out on New Years day w/ snow on the banks sometimes w/ just wetsuits (I had to get booties for my feet). But it is a lake w/ a power plant on it so the water is around 55-60° and then we run back to the lake house to get warm. LOL

One more question for folks with a v-drive with heaters, where are your vents located? I have a heater that will supply air to four vents, I was thinking one fixed at the driver's feet, one fixed under the observers seat, and two hot tubes, probably that will get pulled out from the walkway. I think I've seen the hot tubes mounted there.

I have a fixed one located under the steering wheel (if you sit just right, it blows up your shorts... ), and then a pull out in the walkway that can stretch to the observers seat.

I wish I had 4 vents, and I would put the other one as a pull out under the observer's seat (where the cooler is on 2003-2005 models). I don't know where I would put a 4th one...but 3 would be nice.
            Be excellent to one another.

Your original question was where to connect. This link to a previous post on shower installs gives two options.

Wow, a four vent heater is going to have a serious fan in it! If you can't find a good spot for a fourth outlet, maybe consider blocking it off at the unit to force more air through three vents.

Also as a DIY project, try to make your hose runs as short as possible. One of my three outlets is at the observers bench feet and the way the hose was originally routed, the air wasn't very warm wen it came out of that one. I re-routed and eliminated about half of the run of hose (it was 'easy' in my boat, because the 22i has the jumpseat next to the driver - I snaked through that compartment), and that oulet is now as warm as the one at the driver's feet.

And yes, a pull out snorkel in walkway is the preferred/standard location. Couple that w/the walkthrough windscreen block and the front of the cabin stays nice and warm.

I'm looking at doing a 3 vent system. 1 stationary vent under the driver's console, 1 pull-out in the walk way, and another pull-out under the seat right behind the drivers seat.

I love my heaters at this time of the year. The water is to cold now. If it is not 70+ we have issues with staying warm.

It took about two months and it started to feel cold. Every since then 45 degrees is freezing and when water temp hits 72 degrees wet suit is out of the bag and put on my big bag (belly).
everyone in bako is already wearing fur coats and it's 50. I walk around in shorts and a t-shirt year round and they think I'm crazy!! they don't know what cold is!

Not everyone. Who went out on new years day with you in 45 degree water. I agree I used your dry suit though.

My wife and I went out yesterday to make one last run for the season with our boat and man.The water was great 65 degrees. Air temp was 85. The only thing that went wrong was my wife dropped my wake board on her foot putting it into the boat and broke here foot.

So now here foot is 5 times its normal size. She says she did it to save the wake board from hitting the ground to hard. I love my wife. Sacrafice for the wake board. But I bet the foot repairs cost more than a new wake board if they can fix it. But I don't care. I still love her she is the best wife of all times.

Here is some pictures. I don't know if you will be able to see temp or not on the guages.

Here in NC, you can Double Dip with Med Pay. Let the Major Med fix the foot, claim the bills against the boat's Med Pay, and go get a new board, better yet........SURF BOARD

                                Seriously, hope she is ok
