    sony speakers

Does anyone have a opinion on sony tower speakers. There is a guy on the KTM website that has new 5 1/2" sony speakers. Not sure of the model and could not upload the picture as it was too large.Silver casing with red centre if that helps.Just want to know if is worth gettin these. He said they are 410 a pair and will sell them for 175 a pair.He got them from a rep he knows. Thanks for any info.

Not really a good price, IMO.

    Does that include the cans?

5.25" speakers are usually not good enough for wide open spaces. Definitley not good enough to hear while boarding.
    Be excellent to one another.

As in Sony Xplod? Yeah, they suck. Go with some polks, kickers, or preferrably- wetsounds.

No to Sony. They have in recent years made some nice head units, and the subs are ok for a budget line, but I haven't heard any comps that I thought were buyable.

That price seems high as well. I bet you can get them on ebay for half that.
