I firmly believe that the rash of occurances in Texas are actually the result of the flooding in the area of Lake LBJ and Marble Falls. The flooding actually stirred up a lot of standing water that had been sitting since the prior heavy rains that recently went through the area. All this water from higher elevations (i.e. flooded streets, sewers, septic tanks, etc.) then washed into the highland lakes system, causing a higher than normal concentration of Naegleria fowleri.Freude am Fahren.
