Well if you beach It makes it 200x easier to get back in the boat. Its not necessarily for reboarding while out on the lake.

CUPHOLDERS!!, I have a pleathora of cupholders!! Except in the bow, theres only two....

Thats a good point about beaching. However, I rarely beach. But it would make it much easier.

400hp 5.7?? the 6.0L IS 400HP. I got to drive a RZ4 with a 6.0L for the first time last week. i was blown away by the size/ride and performance of that boat. they do make telescoping ladders you can add on to boats but id have to look closer to see if it would fit an RZ4 i the front. we have added a few to some swim platforms that people like. the RZ4 is a little more prone to rollers over the front than your 24ve but im sure it just takes some getting use to. test drive one you will love it.

The tige site lists a 400HP 5.7. And from what I have heard about 6.0 and 8.1 issues, I was curious about this new 5.7.

As for the port needing more weight, I think you and I are part of the problem I have to fill my ski locker, rear V-drive locker and get some ballast on the seat.

I still think we could all save ourselves a lot of lost storage If we had some ballast underneath the swim platform. It would have to be shaped properly so as to not interfere with TAPS or my FAE. Any thoughts on who might be able to custom fab such a thing?
I do not think that under platform ballast would work for surfing. My swim platform is not out of the water when I surf. Maybe a small tank in the center would stay out, but the side is definitely right on the water.

Who is assembling the 400hp 5.7?

That is alot coming out of a naturally aspirated 350. I would like to see a parts list, specifically the cam specs and valving.

It must have been one of the many typos on the site, and it seems to be corrected now, its a 6.0L.

It must have been very cold water where they took that pic. Shrinkage!

                    That platform is pretty embarassing.

That Malibu looks like my neighbors old VLX. Very nice boat I gotta say. Now he went south and made me mad and went with a nautique.it has a OK wake but it washes out sometime right when you go to hit it. my tige always stays clean. i love it. he just wont admit that its better

                          spharis,
Indmar takes the 5.7 engine (350) and makes it a 383 and gets 400hp. They have been doing this for a few years.

The indmar engine is not a 5.7 its 6.2 which is a stroker 5.7 , in the past this combination was prone to failure but could have been profected by now.

The 6.2 was replaced by GM with the 6.0L vortec. Just like the 5.3L replaced the 5.7L. I'd expect the marine manufacturers to follow suit in the coming years.

On another note, I'm really excited about that new 4.5L duramax!

I don't know how true that statement is. The truck engine that was in the Escalade and Denali for the last few years was a 6.0L and as of 07 now is a 6.2L. I expect that is the engine that is getting marinized so I would expect that it will be coming to Tige in 6.2L next year from Marine Power.
