That would be a nice wallpaper. How about a version in 1440x900 and 1280x1024 for me?

This one is from last year in October. September and October is the best time to go to Lake Powell as far as weather and glass. (It's always a good time to go to Lake Powell ) That little white spec at the base of the middle cliffs is a 50 foot house boat.

No kidding. We get lots of great butter here, but I have never seen glass like you can get on powell, and mead.

When I was about 13, my parents took us on vacation to echo bay. We got there on a sunday, and got out early monday, and it was like that. THE ENTIRE east side of the lake was like that. I have never seen anything like it since. We ski'd and skurfed our brains out. We thought it wasn't going to last, so we just kept going til we were sore. We came in, it was still glass. We were dead. We went out next day. Same thing. It lasted ALL WEEK. We got up saturday morning to leave, and the wind picked up. All these people were launching and heading to the chop.

To this day, I have never seen it like that, and probably never will. I learned to slalom that week. It was my first vacation where my dad finally quit drinking for good. Good memory.

Lake is Maraetai, located in near the center of the North Island in New Zealand. This is where the nationals for both our wakeboard and skate champs are going to be held this year.

Me and a partner are currently in the process of setting up a wakeboarding camp based at this lake with a variety of accommodation options including a backpacker lodge and holiday home rentals. A good time to visit will be Feb/March as the weather is stable and summer school holidays are over. If you would like to find out more or come and visit us during your winter please feel free to contact me using the PM or email ian@M-I-A.co.nz

thats gorgeous man! i've been wanting to make the pilgrimage to powell forever. we get glass down here in austin but that backdrop is worth so much more. maybe a new zealand trip should be in the making as well from looking at that pic.

Kinda reminds of the picture below. Now if I could just figure out a way to have my boat flown in...
