Well, Got out on the boat today. Past week or so its been back firing when its cold and temperatre was higher than it should be along with the engine cutting after long periods of just idleing. Well today it finally quit and killed the battery trying to start it. Not to mention had newbie boarders with me so it was a bit embarassing. we were near the dock so we were swimming it back and after we get about half way there. Took a break from being tired. Just tried starting the boat one more time and it was running like crap getting about 200 feet to the lift. Take the motor apart, and of course first thing is first. The Filter. Get it off and look at it, and I was shocked. We had bought the boat the beginning of summer and the guy supposely had it tuned. Well supposely Im guessing hes never checked his filter. Everything that is on the outside of that filter has made it into the injectors. I got it running finally after a few minutes of work again, but the intake was just full of the stuff that was on the filter. Just so they didnt come for no reason, I did a quick run wakeboarding, then pulled the girls on the tube for a bit without the filter on it. After we got through and they left I actually spent time cleaning the intake and everything. Anyways now that my story is long enough, I can go on alot more but I wont... here are pics.
