All I know from that place is that you cant have a boat thats more than 21 or 23 foot long one of those two I cant really remember and not to mention you have to live on the lake to use it and pay some hefty fees its too much to get into I think. This info is from people who live there who dont own a boat so Im not sure if its 100% accurate so dont quote me, just mentioning what IVE been told.

I know that City.
It is east of Elsinore, You do have to have your boat registered to an address in there city.
Also your boat has to pass a yearly inspection.
They have many rules and they enforce every one.
(No jet skies, or motorcycles allowed in there city.)
It is a very nice place to live; I think the fees are 160 per month.
Yearly lake fees are like 250 for permit.
And the max your boat can be is either 20 or 21 feet.Tige, it's a way of life!

Also on the main part of the lake ballast is illegal. They do have a place to run ballast it's on a channel not connected to the main part of the lake and it's only really big enough for one boat. They have a 4 pass or fall rule until you have to let the next boat go. I believe you can have a 22' boat on the lake. The local MB dealer found a loop-hole and cut off the nose of a B52 23V and reattached it as an add on witch made the main part of the boat only 22'Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. hooscal15,
If there is anything you want to know about Canyon Lake, let me know.
I have lived there for about 8 years and wouldn't live anywhere else.
