I love the lowered idea, but to finish it off you'd have to blast Mariachi music through the tower. SWEET!

I already do that on occasion, I mainly listen to alternative music, but i have a few. I like the new spin that a group called Chingon puts on it. I have a couple chingon albums, and I love that one off the El Mariachi soundtrack, "Cancion del Mariachi". Brings back good memories.

Check out Cielito Lindo from Chingon on iTunes if you have any memory of that stuff.

        odalé guey!!!

anyways... my take. I'm really digging the lines, but I need to see the interior up close.

The lines, paint, slightly narrower beam, RZ captains chair, tower.
Dislikes- engine exposed when hatches are open. This is a safety issue... passengers should be isolated from the moving parts of the engine.
****A child getting a lifejacket or rope out could then get it caught in the belts- BAD BAD BAD BAD!!!! This is a showstopper for me. Additionally, it wouldnt take a complete redesign to have a tri-fold setup like the 22v/24v.

One thing for them to consider would be to adjust the structural aspects of the boat such that you could interchange options. For example, why not have a middle seat back that could be swapped out for one with a gap and the cup holders? That way you keep the manufacturing process simple and some of these modifications could even be made at the dealer if the customer wanted to pay extra to get the option on the boat.

Personally, I like where the cup holders are on the newer Tiges because they are actually below the seat and recessed (unlike mine). I do think having a cut out in the bow for 2 drink holders on each side would be better than the current 2/3 drink holders in the walkway.

And yes, not having a cup holder for the driver is a major no-no. Whoever thought of that should be denied beer on any boat until they fix it

isnt the first rule of engineering to design the cupholder?

                I agree with all that.

I plan on getting a RZ2 for my next boat. But I feel that I have to say that the Pics of this Z1 are ugly. With its stub noise (bow) it looks like a modified tug boat.

I think if they would have given it the pickle fork design, it would look much better.

Also how come this is the only boat on the tige web site that does not show a TOP view, or tells you how many people it will hold?
i tell you one thing that is the most comfortable bow seat ever made. in the center facing towards the back was very comfotable dont knock it till you try it.

Engineers engineer, Designers design. Sometimes they get mixed up, and now most senior designers are called designing engineers because the engineers are more involved in the descisions and less in the creating and innovating. At least that has been my experience in the auto industry. The boat industry is much smaller and has more of a one guy does it all method for des/eng.

Having the Ve and the RZ / Z really gives all views a style they can love. I think it's a great product strategy.

I think what we're missing here is the overhead layout picture we have for all the other boats. Maybe Tige could put one of those out on the site so we can all stop speculating?

Nothing but praise for the guys at Tige! I got the chance to drive the Z1 today. It's incredible. Like someone else pointed out, the drivers beer holder is down low against the side of the hull. You CAN fit a board under the sundeck. The visability through the windshield is great. They hit a home run!
Indecision may or may not be my problem
