Whats even funnier, is that it totally makes sense to me. I love my cupholder just left of dash on my Ve, and I noticed it RIGHT away when I bought the boat, because my previous boat, the driver cupholder was a pain.

I guess you work hard, you spend the money, dammit if it ain't perfect, huh?
Now if I could only get the Ve platform on the RZ....

I love the looks of most Tige’s.
I plan on getting a RZ2 for my next boat. But I feel that I have to say that the Pics of this Z1 are ugly. With its stub noise (bow) it looks like a modified tug boat.

I think if they would have given it the pickle fork design, it would look much better.

Also how come this is the only boat on the tige web site that does not show a TOP view, or tells you how many people it will hold?
Tige, it's a way of life!

I know what you're saying about this... On my 20v (before I sank it...) this cupholder thing would drive me crazy. It's funny but that's one of the reasons I'm getting a 22ve as a replacement... Not the only reason, but it did play a factor in my decision...

Because it just came out. That page isn't linked from anywhere on the site. I'm guessing it isn't finished yet.

Hey now, tug boats are cool. Have you seen the wake on those babies?

What is the price for a pretty much fully loaded Z1?

              Comment

$52K with EVERYTHING. $39K starting price.

That is what I have seen.

Seems like some like the idea of the mid section area cup holders/speakers/storage, while others do not. Will be interesting to see if Tige ever offers that option.

The more I look at the Z1, the more I like the gelcoat, I think that is the best Tige design yet. Bold statement, I know...

Yeah, I like the gel coat also. Especially that black and white one.

I can't wait until they have the Make your Z1 available on tige.com...

That starting price is boat and trailer ONLY no normal extras. From what I am hearing.

I've been designing autmotive interiors for the better part of the last 20 years, and the catch 22 that keeps coming up is, if you make it one way or the other you can't please everyone, but if you make it an option or choice you complicate the build and tooling as well as add one more thing to get wrong on an order. Boats have different volume and labor considerations obviously, but I'm thinking out loud here. My view is that there isn't an ergonomic penalty but there is a subjective style and function element. It's difficult to convince me that there is a structural diff. worth noting though .
If I can be of any help at all, your in deep doo doo!

Did you ever see that simpsons episode, where homer gets to design his "dream car". Has cup holders for 64 oz cups and rack and peanut steering. Ends up looking like a pig and costing like $100k or something. Your comment made me think of that.

So Dog, should we add rack and peanut steering. ;-) And lets waller out those cup holders. It should at least hold a 40 right?

I think I would have to have graphics on the side, like they came off a 64 impala that says "La Bamba". Put about 6k of ballast in there so it looks lowered. How would you add hydraulics? I guess a skid plate would be out of the question.

I think a flagpole for a tower would be cool!!!

Love that Simpson's episode... Unky Herb is great...

I love the lowered idea, but to finish it off you'd have to blast Mariachi music through the tower. SWEET!

                                LOL - Rack and Peanut...
