I had Ski Safe when I decided to park my old boat on the rocks. They were excelent, paid the insured value of the boat and did it quickly. I still have them and surprisingly they did not bump my rates after the accident. It sounds like they are doing the right thing by you as well.
    Good luck.

Yeah I saw those pictures and I did feel bad... However that guy will be able to clean up and engine, get a new fishin' pole and head back out... I've gotta replace my boat... That is pretty crazy though...

Ya know, I can't imagine how bad you feel when this happens.
Your heart has to just sink to your feet.
A new Tige' will make it all better.

Hey, now, add about $200 worth of lumber and you get yourself a wakeboard boat. Add another $100 in the form of a boombox strapped to the tower and you got tunes.

Anyway, I'm glad everything has worked out for you and you'll love your new Ve!
Well this has come up a few times so let's do the math... Literally everything needs to be replaced... I've got the breakdown of each part that needs to be replaced and how much labor is involved in making it right... It's too long to list but it really makes you think about taking care of your boat a little better... Labor is priced at about $90/hr. Pretty typical at any dealership... Over 72 hours to rip it apart and put it back together again... Here's the breakdown:

                Parts: $34,667.66
                Labor: $6,502.50
                8.05%
                Tax: $2,790.75

                Total: $43,960.91

I'd say that's pretty pricey... Now keep in mind that this was my particular boat for my individual situation.

Still no police report even though they said it'd be two weeks... I'll keep you posted...

Apparently I'm in the wrong line of work. I'm dropping Nuclear Cardiology to be a boat mechanic!!!!!!!
Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

It's not as good as it sounds, The boat repair business can be a "feast-or-famine" kind of profession. 2nd, out of that $90 an hr labor, the Tech may see only about $20 an hr (depending on market)

Keep in mind, these repair parts will have a higher retail price V's the cost of building the whole boat.........if that makes sense

It does. That's why they strip Honda's, Hummer's and whatever else the flavor of the month is. To rebuild a car costs more then the new car price.

                            update

                            Update:

Insurance co. says boat is totaled but I'm still waiting on the police report... Finally got a hold of the Sheriffs deputy that was at the scene and he was "put on a special assignment" or something like that and he has not had a chance to finish the report...

He "says" he'll have it done tonight and turned in and he'll expedite it through the system and I should have it by Friday. I'm not holding my breath on this one...

Have fun at the cold water reunion... I will be there next year with my 22ve.

Update: I have the police report... Of course my claims rep is off of work today and won't be back until tomorrow.

I'm trying to work with his supervisor but she really doesn't know what's going on.

                              We'll see...

Unfortunately these things take way to much time to work out...
