WOW That's a real bummer. A while ago we had a thread on changing props while in the water, I am a fairly avid diver and have a spair air,

    http://dixiediver.com/spare_air__tanks.htm

ever since that thread I now store my spair air tank in the boat. I thought it was for maybe having to change props while in the water. I don't know how I would have patched the hole, but man I would have tried. I'm sorry to see anything like this, but it does get the rest of us thinking how we would handle something like this. I guess the real question is how will the insurance company be, I hope they treat you as we all would like to be treated in this kind of case. I'm in good hands at least that is what they tell me. Good luck and like others have said I hope you are back on the water soon.

PS I don't look at this as a "little Incident". Yes good no one was hurt, but I still think it's a big incident

My dad always said "Stupid Hurts". He's yet to be proven wrong, but for some reason I keep trying.

who is your insurance with? I am in the business and would like to see how timely they are to resolve this? does your policy have total loss replacement?

I'm sure Wake Havasu wishes that would happen to his 24V but unfortunately it happend to you.
Hang in there it'll get resolved.

                This Hurts

Such a nice boat and well built boat. DOMSZ06 says TIGE' is unsinkable. I guess you just proved that theory wrong. I am going to add 4 Tsunami pumps into my boat for this reason plus the bilge. I will put one in the bow and three in the back. This way I can nose the boat up and turn on the pumps to get the water out if it ever happens to me.

Now I am scared and know why I use my wave runners on a lake before I boat on it. I hit a rock last year in an area right next to the Dock. The STUPID rangers said SORRY! we forgot to move the markers back over. Bent my strut and through my engine out of alignment right after I had it all fixed in Utah. Man I was pissed. I guess I see this and say I should have felt blessed.

Hope it all works out for you.

Sorry about your boat. You'd be surprised how well they can restore your boat.

Oh I forgot to tell you guys the best part....

Some Douchebag in a 40ft. twin engine monster tried to steal my boat!

About an hour after we were back at the shore, he claimed that the boat was abandoned and he was going to "salvage" it... The sheriffs caught him trying to tow it back to shore and tore him a new one... So much so that the his supervisor got called... He beached my boat and probably caused more damage than what I did to it...

Oh man, I just saw this, and my stomach sank. It hurts looking at those pictures. I always think about my 2 tsunamis could come in handy in that situation. Well, at least your insured, and it happened at the end of the season, not may or something.

LBX, sorry to see those pictures. I know how excited you were your new with ride. Bigger is better, so look to the future. Spend more time at Roosevelt-it's deeper.

No way!!! That's nuts, I'm really bummed for you. I can't even imagine how badly I would have messed my pants watching the boat sink. Seriously, I think I have to go to the bathroom and barf.

I'm back, close call but I didn't barf. I had to show my wife these pics, now I think she's sick. We go to Lake Powell all the time and they always have unmarked rocks. I always tell her this can happen, she never believes me.

Wow! I am so sorry that this happened, but like the others and yourself, I am glad that nobody got hurt. I have lost an outdrive on a sandbar before, but this is amazing. I thought that the new Tiges had a foam core that made it unsinkable...

I hope you have a good experience with your insurance company and that this opens the door to a new 22V!

Y, not to poor lemon on the wound, but did you have any lead in there or anything? I am concerned the boat didn't stay afloat. Maybe some one from Tige has something to say about that. I would love to hear why.

I'd love to punch this guy in the head for you. It makes my angry just thinking about it.

I, like the others, am feeling ill after seeing your pictures. That is a sweet boat, and to see it in that condition hurts. Good luck with everything, hope it all works out. And I hope somebody punches that guy in the head, he deserves it.
