I am just curious how much those of you who store your boats in a storage facility such as a self-store or RV/boat storage facility pay per month. Apparently one of my busy-body neighbors sent an anonymous letter to the police department complaining about my boat being parked on the street in front of my house. We live on a large cul-de-sac, and we have quite a large frontage to the street, so I always parked the boat off to the side near the property line, but always in front of my house and never encroaching onto anyone else's property. This person also complained about another resident who parks his dually pickup in front of his own home. After a visit from the community service officer, I started looking for a storage place. I found a 10x32 spot at a new local self storage for $119 a month. Outdoors, 24 hour video surveillance, lit at night and gate access from 6a-10p. First month was free, and they waived the $20 admin fees. Other rates were as high as $169 per month. Now the municipal code *does* prohibit boats and RVs from more than 72 hours on the street, and no driveway parking. They must be on the back or side yards, behind a fence. But still, I'd rather have the person come to me and talk rather than chickensh*t anonymous letters.
Oh well...
