And when you are 62 years old?

I went to Lake Mead on Labor Day. My wife invited her sister, who then asked if her inlaws could come. It was her Father in laws 62nd birthday, so I figured they could not be much into taking up time behind the boat, the only downside is they aren't overweight, so not good for as much ballast. They are really pleasant people, so we said bring them all. I once tried in the spring to get the father in law up on a wakeboard, and it was a major exercise in futility.

All the young folks had their turn...and then gramma asks if she can give it a try. Hmmm...

But now I was prepared. I have Detention on my video Ipod that I use to play music on the boat. I made her watch the segment about getting up twice and then sent her out to meet her fate.

She was a clinic! She came, she watched, she wakeboarded better than most for their first try. First pull, she stays squatted and slides on the water for several seconds in a crouched position! Not one or two tries later, and Kaboom@!@#$#@$% there she is wakeboarding! It was awesome!

I hope that I will be doing that when I am 62 years old!

Not to be outdone, gramps asks if he can try, too. So I make him watch the video, give him a few pointers and....BAM! He is wakeboarding too, on his 62nd birthday!

The water was incredible all day. The very worst water was when the mother in law went. That was as bad as it was, and only lasted about an hour.

It wouldn't be right if I didn't show a few of us, too.
Yes, it was a little painful to surf in the incredible glass, but we had to do it sometime.

We have a friend that is 64 and went to the lake with us. He never saw detention or anything but he is a real outdoors person. We strapped him into a wake board and boom right out of the water he came.

I just said to my self I want to be doing that when I am 64. DOMZ06 was with us that day.

Great pictures. looks like you had a great day at the lake.

I guess that would technically be illegal. And I have never used pirated copies of DVD's. Ever.

Find a friend who has the video and have them copy it for you.

Hey, let's rewrite the lyrics to the Beatles tune. Here's the currently lyrics:

When I get older losing my hair,
                              Many years from now.
Will you still be sending me a valentine
                              Birthday greetings bottle of wine.

If I'd been out till quarter to three
                              Would you lock the door,
Will you still need me, will you still feed me,
                              When I'm sixty-four.

                              You'll be older too,
And if you say the word,
                              I could stay with you.

I could be handy, mending a fuse
                              When your lights have gone.
You can knit a sweater by the fireside
Sunday mornings go for a ride,

Doing the garden, digging the weeds,
                              Who could ask for more.
Will you still need me, will you still feed me,
                              When I'm sixty-four.

                              Yours sincerely, wasting away
