    Surfing behind a 20V

Does anyone have any feedback on surfing behind a 20V? I'm a beginner when it comes to surfing, so will going behind a 20V be a good start or will it not be enough boat soon down the road? How does is compare to the other makes of 20 footers, ie. BU VTX, MC X-2, or the Naut 211? Is ballast necessary? Any recomendations? Thanks for the help!

A 20V makes a great surf wake. You will eventually need ballast, but start with a bunch of your friends. Get them all loaded up on the side you want to surf on. Keep in mind, you want some weight up front. Experiment with the wake. More weight up front and TAPS down more will make the wake longer and stop washing.

I surf behind my 20i at 11mph taps at 2 and am very pleased with the curl.

This is a pic of my wife surfing behind our 20v this past weekend. We have no ballast, speed at 9.8, taps all the way to max, with myself and 2 children on board.

        Works fine.
