Anyone wakeboarding behind a 20i? Was thinking of going that direction just not sure. Right now it will just be me boarding. What about TAPS on the i is it necessary? Trying to get into a Tige and would really like a 20v but that really gets me in the $45k range and the wife will take me out back and shoot me.

I have a 2004 20i, and we really love the boat. Some pro's and con's:
Cheaper than the 20v
Better engine access
Doesn't get pulled around as much because of better center of gravity
The 20v has a better seating config but you pay for it
engine is very confined
Not as much walk around room
The 20i without ballast has a nice shape to the wake but is not huge. It is impressive how big it is for a small boat. I have been wakeboarding for about 3 years now and I would like a little more wake. I am sure that some ballast can fix that. If you have ski friends they will fall in love with the 20i because the wake really flattens out with the TAPS at slalom setting doing about 30mph.

My 20i works great for wakeboarding
I just purchased a 20i six weeks ago and my kids are killen it wakeboarding. I have three hundred pounds of lead in the back to help out but it really didn't add that much more wake. I set taps at about six and half. my boys are on a 75 foot rope and hitting wake to flat at about twenty three miles per hour. I love our 20i in the six weeks we've had it I've put fifty nine hours. I think it's the best bang for the buck.

My dealer Dom Forte is bending over backwards to find me a left over 20V in my price range. I really hope I can get a boat from him he has busted is arse for me. If your in FL its worth giving him a call and stopping by if your looking for a new Tige'. I have yet to meet anyone in our area selling ski/wakeboard boats that has his amount of knowledge about his own boat as well as the competitors. Will keep you guys updated. Thanks for everyones help.
