I hope RJ is doing okay now and that cut is healing well.

The girls are doing awesome and I am glad they are going to LA. Watch out Hoffman girls!!!! The Garcia girls are coming....

You have won too many boards and should be banned for winning any more. That is enough.... You have more than your fair share now. j/k

Let me know how you like it. I'm still trying to find my surf board. You and I are big dudes, so size does matter in surfing.

I agree with what you have done, Ragboy. As a physician and also a former collegiate athlete, I think I see both sides a little better than most.

Life is all about judging risks versus benefits and deciding what to do. Most people don't understand the benefit side of this competition for someone like RJ.

Once the stitch popped, it became clear that the risk was too much, and you made the right choice, don't push it any further. Keep a close eye on that wound, it could still get infected.
          Be excellent to one another.

            Ragboy,
Tell RJ to keep his head. He will get it next year. I know right now he doesn't care about next year but as a 45 year old man who pushed myself when I was younger and hurt, I am paying for it now. He won't let nothing stop him next year. Go get them RJ. Good Job. You also made the right call Radboy, my dad did the same to me when I was younger. I was so mad I wouldn't talk to him for a couple of weeks. I had a chance to play in a major league ballpark, man was I mad.

He is ok, we have a really good relationship. My kids know I want what's best for them, because they have seen it for years. He is def bummed, but already talking with his sister to help her get her trick run down for Louisiana. He's a good kid, and I am proud of him, and I can't wait to see him next year.

              Thanks for the note.

Hey, look at it this way, RJ should go anyway and remind everyone who's better just by being there. If someone's a no-show, maybe he's healed up enough to talk them into riding anyway. Stranger things have happened.
