    BENT PROP!

I NOTICED TODAY THAT I HAVE A SMALL BEND ON ONE OF MY BLADES ON THE STAINLESS 4-BLADE PROP. I HAVENT NOTICED A VIBRATION OR ANY PROBLEMS. SHOULD I WORRY ABOUT THIS? CAN IT BE REPAIRED?

You can repair it, but you'll need a prop puller to get it off. It's a handy tool to have. It's nice having a spare prop if you have the $$.

Because it's stainless (much harder to bend stainless), I'd recommend having a professional check your shaft alignment to make sure you don't have an issue. I've got a small bend in one of my blades that I got from a heavy friend sitting on my swim platform in shallow water while a big wake came in. If it's just a bend, there's probably not much to worry about. If iit looks chewed up, then it hit something while underway and I'd get the shaft checked for straightness and alignment.

      Need to get it checked

Get your strut and shaft alignment checked like Dog said. Those cutter stainless props are stiff and tough, and if you bent a blade you probably whacked something pretty good. The cutter is what I started with on my boat, but I bought an Acme several years ago, and it was a great move. Much smoother, less vibration and better hole shot. Now I just have my SS as a backup in case I hit something. Get the puller kit with it. That and the spare have saved entire weekends for us.

            Was that a requirement?
