Dumb Question, Why is the bow height so low to the water?

I wonder if you are making a power turn at 10MPH, and are still in the act of turning while crossing your surf wake, if the pickle fork on the downside acts as a scoop getting all the water in the boat. This would be accentuated by the weight all being on one side, thus pushing one of the tines of the picklefork down.

Does anyone with a V or Ve have a problem with this if they just loop back to the rider? Again, the only way I can get water over the bow is to be at nearly idle speed, or to let off just as I get to the wake which makes the bow then sink quickly.
    Be excellent to one another.

Dude, don't powerturn at wakesurfing speeds. People already hate you for that huge wake. Creating double-ups is just adding fuel to the fire!

I surf well away from other boats for this reason.

Y, the best method is too surf when there aren't so many people around. But on occasion we have had boats come close and have to get back quick. On those times, you do what you got to do.

Riiiiight...you obviously have never been in an RZ2 on the water....sure the RZ4 is the same. I couldn't handle an X Star since they sit even lower.

Yes, the only water I have taken over the bow was self induced. Never due to rough water.

If they are close enough to get into one of my double ups, then they are in danger of me doing some other things to them, too. The circle is pretty tight, and the double ups stay on the inside of the circle, not the outside. I turn to the side of the surfer, so the washy side is outside as well, which is not nearly as large. I have to surf over it once I get going again, so I am keenly aware of whether it is much to bear.

My home lake is so unbeleivably crowded, that no one in their right mind wakeboards during the middle of the day. (although there are a lot of people in their wrong mind). I simply find it impossible most days to surf away from other boats. If the water is wakeboardable, I don't beleive in surfing.

A classic problem regardless of the type of boat you own. With large incoming wakes (created by your boat or others) will crest over your bow if you are trolling slowly thru the wake. A slight blip on the throttle will pop you over the wake. It doesn't require massive power or speed, just a slight push and then back off immediately after pushing thru the offending wake.

Youtube.com has a video titled The New Act in Show Skiing. It should make you feel better about a little water coming over the bow Here is the link

We've already had a whole thread dedicated to that one. It was quite a feat.

To answer the question......the bow is slow low so you can soak the passengers in the front......I thought that was in the manual.

And if were higher it might look like a Gayliner.

Looks cool with the low bow.

There's no way you would want to drive it like that at our local lake, unless you had a bow cover so the waves could roll off of it!

I agree with the looks, but I have a heart attack every time a wave of water comes over my windshield and through the walkway. I just cross my fingers my amps don't get wet. My sub amp sits 2 inch's off the floor and it I've had water pool about 1/4 inch below it. You can see what I'm talking about in my thread from last July.

I've tried just about everything you guys mentioned. The best thing is to come of the throttle and kill the cruise, then gas it over the wake. I just find it annoying to sit there and hold the button till it gets to 10.4. Everyone who surfs on my boat grabs the rope as I'm circling and gets right up with out us ever stopping. We don't wait for the surfer to get set with their feet on the board, unless their new to surfing. I don't have time to sit there and dial in the cruise. I wish you could just turn the cruise off and on, and it would hold the speed you had before. A pre-set would be nice. I'm sure that will come out soon.

Dont understand what button you are holding down until the boat reaches 10.4? Speed Set will re-engage when you accelerate back up the the original set speed. No need to hit any buttons unless you shut engine off.
