    Opinions on colors

I would really like to get a new 2008 20v and my local dealer has five in-stock at a great price. However, all the color schemes involve a lot of black which I'm not that wild about. Is this the "in" color and I'm just too old to appreciate it? Wouldn't this be a hard color to maintain? What do you all think? (the purple and yellow are 07's)

I think Black was the in color for '07... I have it on my RZ2 and it's not really that hard to maintain believe it or not. If you can get an '07, I would probably go for that because I'm sure you can save a couple thousand over an '08 can't you?

As long as the top deck is white, black on the sides is pretty easy to maintain.
      Let it be!!!

Actually one dealer has five 08's in some form of black at a great price. Another dealer has three 07's in black for slightly more than the 08's and two 07's in blue for $2k more. I really like the blue but won't pay more for a older model just because of color. Why buy an 07 if the 08 is cheaper - if I can just get past the color.

Black has been a staple in boats for years, my '95 is almost all black on the sides as well. Like someone said as long as the deck is white it's all good. The black is not that hard to take care of as long as you keep up on it.

Well, IMO, I like the dealer that you have chosen. The owner is great and the staff are very nice. However, you will need to stay on top of them when they have your boat in for service. They are a very busy dealership

Anyway, I agree with everyone else that has commented about the color black. Yes, black can be hard to take care of but I see you putting a few coats of wax on to help that issue out. Two times a year or more would be good.

Good luck and let us know which one you choose. I am sure I will see you on Folsom next year. The darn lake is 5 mph now and very low. It's still dropping about a foot a day.

The black and royal blue is sweet. Not a big yellow fan.

Well, if you're having a hard time with the colors, order one with the colors you like. Go to the Tige website and use their color configurator.

                    I wouldn't commit if I wasn't 100% sure it was the color I wanted.

BTW white is about as easy as it gets for maintaining and cleaning. Black is on the opposite end of that scale, although it seems to always look nicer when clean.

Black is difficult to keep clean and does it ever show scratches.

I was walking through Tige' in Corona and they just unloaded an all white with just a little yellow. And another that was all white, and just a little orange.
                          Geezee did it look sharp.

If it were any other brand boat other than Tige', I'd pick a color that was easy to re-sell.

But, another unique thing about Tiges is that the color doesn't matter on re-sale.

We order'd Purple because everyone seems to have black or red and we like to be different. The hull color was no where near a match of the sample color though.
                          That sucked.

I have a black truck and it always looks like crap. I wouldn't personally buy anything black again....ever.
