    questions on 08 models

Can you not have the up rights painted anymore? or am i missing something in the design my boat feature? i know the tower can still be painted.

Is there any difference between the rivial ballast and the stock tige ballast besides weight? such as placement?

Is perfect pass as user friendly as tige speed set?

And what in the world happened to all the rumors about tige adding a new boat to the 08 line up? or is there still one on the way and i should just shut my mouth and wait?

The stock ballast is supposed to be good because it's up and out of the way (uses up unused space, for the most part). Tige speed set is better than PerfectPass. I have PerfectPass and it's fine, but Tige Speedset is supposed to hold speed better.

There are a lot of differences in the ballast systems.

RIval uses soft sacks in your storage compartments and a scoop under the boat.

Tige uses hard tanks behind the rear walls and a through hull in the transom, so you cannot fill while under way, because the hole is out of the water.

I think they dumped colored uprights because the powder coating chips off with tower motion and especially when you fold it down.
      Be excellent to one another.

Like tall said, they chip easy. I would pass on this if it is still available

With the factory hard tanks, on a 22ve/24ve, you only loose a little storage. With the rival, you only loose the storage when filled.

You can fill the factory system while moving, but only up to a little above no-wake speed.

A good source has rumored a 21 foot boat with a convetional bow but sharing some of the styling cues of the RZ series. No transom entertainment center either.

It's about time. The snap-out walkway carpet is in much better condition than the rest of my carpet. Plus it's easier to keep clean.

IMO, you DO NOT want to have powder coated uprights. My upright powder coating is chipping off and it's not a warranty issue. This off season, I am planning to have the upright bead blasted to remove the powder coat and have the brushed aluminum underneath stay.

i was wonder about the uprights because mine are currently yellow and i have no chipping, but i don't fold down my tower either. do you think i could still get it if i asked?

It is totally up to you and how you like your uprights. I have to lower my tower to get it into the carport at my house. I am not sure how Tige's powder coating department is but IMHO, they are terrible powder coaters. But, I wouldn't get the uprights powder coated again.

My dealer said they were no longer an option in 08. Mine had large flakes coming off at every point they attached to the tower after only folding it down a few times. My dealer is getting them replaced with the plain ones under warranty.
