First problem ever....off to the dealer I go :(

The 06' finally let me down exactly 2 years to the day after I picked it up.

Ran fine on Sat. w/ 0 issues, as usual. But go to fire it up on Sunday... and bam... the alarm won't shut off and I'm in limp mode. The red light is not on, but the alarm won't quit. Oil pressure is fine, temp is fine, fluid levels are normal, just won't go above 5 mph. We thought it MIGHT be the oil pressure sending unit switch, so I unplugged that, no help.

So guess I'm off to the dealer to get the ECM plugged into. I thought I was gonna get away w/o ever having a motor problem w/ this boat.

I guess luckily the motor has the 3 year warranty, so fingers are crossed it's something to do there and not some other electrical issue that's not covered.

How many Hours and which engine?

I'd be thrilled f I could go 2 months with out a problem!

I've only got 70 hours and it's the MP 5.7

Gotta love all the new electronic crap.......I like my carb more everytime I read these stories.....until I have to lean out the low speed, and then richen it up......and lean it out......and richen it up......and.....

But hey, no limp mode!

I wish there was a way to "bypass" the limp mode. Of course it's obviously there for a reason... but I seriously don't think there was/is anything bad wrong w/ the boat.

The dealer over the phone thought it MIGHT be in the throttle by wire. Guess we'll see.

Is yours a MP 340 with the dual Batteries?
