    Sirius Satelite

Just curious for those that have satelite radio out there, does your reception suck?

For two years now we have been having the phrase "Invalide Channel" come up on our deck. Some days Sirius comes in no problem and others it just says "Invalide Channel."

We have had this problem at every location we have been at. I'm thinking It's because of being in the mountain ranges around the lakes.

I had Sirius in my last truck and had no problems except for going under bridges where I would lose reception for about 2 seconds.

I have one car with Sirius and one car with XM... Both "factory" installs, Sirius in my Infiniti and XM in my Honda. I prefer Sirius's programming over XM. All things equal I would choose Sirius every time... Hopefully the merger goes through and the programming is the same for both...

In my truck, my XM reception is stellar. It barely ever cuts out. My Sirius cuts out when I don't have a clear view of the sky.

I had the choice between the two on my boat install. I purposely chose XM for my boat because of the reception. For whatever reason it just works better... Just my

I have XM in my Expedition and I also have it in my boat. Sony unit that was XM ready, the previous owner installed it since where he lived had such crappy FM reception. I am pleased with XM in both cases; we had crystal clear reception at Bass Lake, and haven't yet dropped a signal. The only time I lose reception in the SUV is when I am under an overpass. I really recommend XM if your FM reception is crummy, or if you want music but don't have an iPod or CDs to listen to...heck I even bought a home adapter so I can listen to XM over my home stereo.

I think it's where your boating.....ie....Billy Chinook, Detroit, Foster and Green Peter...... I too get sketchy coverage. I'm not going to pay for it next year, I'll just use my Ipod or CD's. My Sirius in my truck though......I'll never be without it!! I love 124 NFL and Octane 20

It is under warranty. Why not have it fixed? I have had the clarion stuff in 2 of my tiges and have never had an issue. Even in our 120 degree plus heat
              Let it be!!!
