    What octane does everyone run?

Some people swear they feel a difference running a higher octane.
What motor you have and what octane do you run?
    What's your take?

    340hp marine power
I use regular because I know for a fact higher octane does nothing but cost more money unless... you have the timing on the motor changed to take advantage of the higher octane like I do on my truck. this has been debated before in the past

Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. THAT'S relativity. Albert Einstein

I know guys with Gary Teague motors in their boats and they too are programmed for 87 octane.

Mag 350, 315HP, and 87 octane. Tried higher, and could not tell any difference.

87 - Sometimes even 85 and have never noticed a difference.

Mag 350 w/ 87. never bothered with higher grade. these engines aren't super high compression or anything so they shouldn't need anything more than that.

There is NO performance gain with higher oct fuel. Only requires more heat to combust as what you find in a hi compression engine, that is where the performance comes from.

Both put out about 19,000 BTU's if I remember.
