I just got a wet suit over last off season if it wasn't for that we would be putting the boat away in less than a month but because of the suit i'd say it extented our season about a month earllier and a month to month and a half later.

Yesterday it was 102 in Discovery Bay, and dropped to a nice 74 last night. Water temps are around 78. I don't see any stopping for a couple of months. Hope to be riding into late October without any need for a suit.

Last year we called it a day after the longweekend, but we had some good weather after that, I hope we have a Indian summer and can atleast get all of Sept in so I can get some hours on the new RZ2. (pick it up this weekend, can't wait)

I'm hoping for the end of October, but that will be depending on when my son who is away to school can get home for a week end, and the weather. The drysuit is ready, now all I have to do is wait for the stars to align.

I just hope this winter doesn't suck like last years did.

I am picking up one of these:

                    http://www.pontoons.com/boats/sport_pontoons/explorer/

Start fishing and camping with my kids in October. Fish the Sac River, and the high lakes. Also have to get out the ATVs for this winter. The mountains up here are crazy fun with ATVs. Hundreds of miles of logging roads and BLM lands.

Here is my crazy RIG with 24' ATV trailer and ATVs

I have already adopted 3, I am FULL!

You know, thats why I moved up here. I lived in SoCal all my life, and when I started my business in 1999, I found that I either had no time, or no money to get out and have fun with my family. We used to go to Mead a lot, because all SoCal lakes are a joke (no offense). But to get to mead, I had to take off 3 days at a time, could maybe do once a month, and it costs a lot of dough. Not to mention, you drive the traffic back, and don't feel rested. So if I had the time, it was because work was slow, and if I had the money, no time. It sucked. I loved visiting Northern California and dreamed of Someday moving up. In 2003, I found out our house was worth like $500k and we only paid $250k for it. That was IT. Within 2 months we were up here in the mountains. We are just 9 miles from the Lake Oroville lime saddle marina. Just 2 miles from several entrances to the BLM land and logging roads, and tons of other lakes and rivers to fish on. I moved up the mountain as far as I could and still get high speed access. My clients are all over the world, and don't care where I live, its the best. I highly recommend it if you can. Do it while your kids are still young and you have the time with them.

It is SO much cheaper to recreate when you only have to do it in afternoon chunks. I haven't taken a vacation in 4 years, and I don't need one. I just take off an afternoon or a day, here or there.

Yes, I just hired one guy. I need another excellent PHP/MySQL programmer with heavy experience in OOP methodology. I don't hire straight out, I contract to someone for several months first.
