I do know quite a few. They are DHM trailers that are made in Sacramento. I have one exactly like that but in Pacific Blue.

I have rammed into those two uprights at 5 mph and they definitely stop your boat.... Not recommended but funny to see people's faces when you accidentally hit them too hard.

I luv it. I had the older style on previous boat. This one is a no brainer. I just drive up and touch those things, my soon hooks up the winch to the bow eye and pulls up slack, and DONE!

The only trick is to not push the boat too hard into them, but leave a bit of play, so you can get the cover in.

I have never hit them at 5, but have hit them harder than I should have in the past. Once my wife backed in too deep, so the carpet didn't slow me down. That wasn't fun.

That is exactly how I did mine also. The GF backed into the lake too far and me being the idiot thought that it would be okay... Apparently it wasn't but at least I didn't go flying.. Nothing went wrong on the boat either and the bang that came from it was loud and everyone on the dock heard it and whipped their heads around to see. It was actually really funny.

                    Bow Stand

Is your bow stand bolted on or welded. If the boat buddy is that important to you, you could have a new stand fabricated and bolt it on.

                    Just a thought
Indecision may or may not be my problem

If his is like mine (which I am 99% sure it is) it is bolted. Those blocks can swivel once the pin is taken out.

I really like the way it is, but thinking I may be able to add the buddy underneath, not sure if it is worth the trouble.

The new TIGE' dealer in Bakersfield is using these trailers and I do not like them. They sit way low to the ground. Our friend who just bought his TIGE' has problems getting in and out of his driveway. He has to go at a sharp angel to not scrape the ground. Plus I dont see how it secures your Dhook to anything tightly to help prevent the boat from moving on the trailer.

I know they are so heavy they won't move. I have actually drove the boat on the trailer and pulled it out with out anything hooked to the Dhook. That works real good but man I was sweating it until I came up to the top of the ramp.

EXACTLY. I live up in the mountains. Lots of ditches and stuff, never had an issue with being low. I just go at a bigger angle when they are bigger/deeper.
