    Boat House lift advice?

I'm rebuilding my boathouse. It's 50 years old and foundation is crumbling.
I have a 2000 2300V and am looking for advice on a boat hoist.
Since I'm in New England, I think a hoist is probably better than a lift because of ice issues.

Anyone out there using a sling?
Anyone out there using a cradle system?

I appreciate any feedback I can get.

I don't live on the water, but boating on the saltwater I have seen tons of lifts and though they are not permitted in Florida any longer I like the sling lifts versus lifting with the lifting eyes all the time. Given this is what they are designed for, I would still rather lift from somewhere else. Why wouldn't you just use a bunk style lift that has the lift hardware on the cross members of the boathouse? That would keep everything out of the water and allow the boat to be lifted as if it were on a trailer. I can take some pics of a couple near me like I mean if you would like. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about though.

Here is a company that a fellow tige owner ownes, his site has a lot of nice shots of various lift setups.
