The stakes go in about two feet if the lake bottom is real sandy they go in about three. The designer has had his boat in the water all summer using the systems and has not had to move his stakes. However he does not have a sandy lake bottom.

What the advantage of this is that most of the boat load stays with the boat. All they really do is keep the boat from getting pushed one way or another when eave from other boats or wind comes up.

CP3 I would love to send you a set but I had to pay for my sample. In other words. He set it up I used it and liked it so I bought it. Then I set up a deal with him to be able to get them for you guys. However the price is a little steep but for me and My WIFE it was worth it. We took all the other anchors out of our boat. Thinking about putting one back in just for water 30+ or more if we ever find a place that deep that we want to anchor.

The lake bottoms and shorelines around here aren't exactly swim out to and get in the boat friendly; unless you like standing in mud up to your knees.

Seems like more work and storage then a box anchor and anchor buddy setup.

A bit steep to me just to anchor the boat short term. I could see it if i was on a private lake and wanted a place to anchor on a regular basis.

I could see it if you were camping and had set up camp for a week, but I agree that as a normal anchor, it seems a bit much.

I do the same as a lot of people do, come in with the stern to the shore, set the anchor and jam out. I never beach my boat. I use two anchors front and back and never have an issue

What I do on the river is find a nice drop off on the shore and drive up and tie off the anchor on the back cleat and drop the anchor up river on the shore.
