Which year of tige do you have?

    Mine have never done that.

I am not aware of anyone else having that issue.
I believe it was an issue only on the older boats. Ours is a 2001 21V Rider's Edition. They had enough trouble that when I called about the issue, they warrantied a fix, even though I was out of my warranty period. Of course, less than a year later the problem returned. Oh, and get this, the Tige dealer who had the cushions re-covered, used non-stainless staples. Of course, after a couple years all the staples rusted out and I had to replace them before the covers fell off.

Mastercraft, Supra, Natique, THEY ARE NOT!!! If I had it to do over again, I'd definitely spend the few extra thousand bucks for a TRUE boat manufacturer rather than a bunch of good ol' boys building boats in Texas. And I've got nothing against good ol' boys. I myself am one from Alabama originally.

And yes, I've experienced every one of the issues you listed with the exception of the teak platform. Ours has been fine. Just requires a cleaning and oiling once a season. Looking in the bilge after the first season, I could have started my on stainless fastener business!

I have a buddy who bought a brand new MC 3 years ago and it is in the shop every year for the same problem.Dealer cant fix it.Our summers are short and his boat is stuck in the shop! He is frustrated and really likes the 20v we got.Just goes to show you can have problems with any builder, there are always going to be lemons and it p$%^%$ess you off.

I towed in a MC at Havasu 2 weeks ago. He had a very common problem for people who have fun on the lake all day. NO GAS!!!!
          Let it be!!!

            Thats so funny!

I helped an MC guy at the Marina one time after the station had closed.

He had run out of gas too!

You know why I never run out of gas?

My gauge does not work with the boat in motion so I stop completely to check the gauge frequently.

The one nice thing about my boat is the faster I go the more gas ( it appears) to have!

Not saying everyone doesn't have problems. It's the overall quality, workmanship and customer service that I'm refering to. Seems once Tige gets your money, you're on your own. It's the little things that make the difference. They build beautiful boats, the craftmanship leaves a little to be desired.

                I agree.

A real service oriented dealer recognizing the competitive over saturated market would have offered to fed ex my Bimini to me after having lost it.

Instead I had to freaking drive over 700 miles to Vegas and back! About 130.00 in fuel and one entire day lost.

Today you get two shots- one initially and the second and even a third to resolve and clean up any problems.

After that you loose a customer forever. Consumers have too many choices today.

In my deal I offer a 100% money back guarantee if for ANY reason my customers are not satisfied.

                I buy the product back!

I understand that a money back guarantee would not be feasible in a product such as a boat.

I am on my second Tige and my experience is quite diferrent. I had gel coat cracks on my 02 around the tower which were self inflicted. I learned never to tighten the tower when it was down. I was not happy to hear that this was not covered as there is no manual telling me not to do this. When you raise it the stress points change and you hear a nice cracking noise.
My 05 had issues with vdrive flange bolts backing out which the dealer dropped what they were doing to repair my boat on JULY 3rd and have it back to me in 3 hours. Then my transmission seal blew and I had a new tranny . I had one other issue which they picked up my boat in Havasu. I feel the service I have recieved has been great.

Tige corporate has even resolved some issues for me.

Again everyones dealers experiences are diferrent.

I have had quite the opposite experience with seadoo products and there dealers, but that is for another forum.

You have a very good point. My friends MC is having very close to the same problems you are having and with the same results as far as them being fixed.I cant remember which car dealership it is but if you bring the vehicle back 3 times for the same problem, they replace the vehicle!

But Jim, why would tige corp have to "resolve" issues for you?

And which dealer came to get your boat in Havi?

                      Was it the Phnx dealer?

Tige corporate approved to replace a part out of warranty and another issue that was not a warranty issue but they covered for me.

Boats of Nevada picked up my boat in Havasu but I was lucky as they were making a delivery of a boat in Havasu when my boat had an issue, They were in the right place at the right time for me. Saved me a trip to Vegas.

I called yesterday at 1pm to see if my dealer could finish the install of my new steering cable after I did 90% of the job. They told me bring it in, "we'll do our best but no promises." I got a phone call this morning at 930am and it was done!! I took it in the pooper w/ the labor charge-c'est la vie- but they got it done and I went out today w/ the family. I have to say Reed's marine in Delevan, WI did a super job for me. So far, nothing but greaat things to say about the service at my dealer.

I did have a small garbage can full of crap in the bilge and I know for sure it came from the factory like that since the first owner only put 60 hrs on the boat and never had ANYTHING but 25 & 50 hr service done to it. That's kinda bs in my opinion to be that sloppy.
Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

"If you come to where I shall be we will go out of our way to help you!"

                            WOWIE!!!!

Obviously tige feels the boats are garbage cans.

Yes it unparalleled in the industry.

Not even Bayliner allows their workers to use the boats as garbage cans.
