So is that called MORMON island because the Mormons built all of that stuff?

I would not put my boat in that lake. It looks pretty muddy.

With that lake filling up at that rate I would expect it to be that muddy but I'm sure it will settle in a few week.

Don't worry, it wipes right off.

From what I have read in the link, the island was a Mormon town that was living side a river before the dam was built.

G is correct, the lake is filling up about .5 to 1 foot per day. The marina (the pictures) is just getting water into it now so there is probably 5 feet of water in it and has been out of water for 4-5 months.

Well that explains the mud then. By summer it should be looking pretty good.

There is about 5-10 feet of visability during the summer time. It does get better.

I drove by lake oroville on my motorcycle on Saturday. It was COLD. But the lake is higher than I left it, but still low. I hope that snow REALLY kicks in soon. My family is prepared, I told them our season starts NO MATTER WHAT, first week of may. It was like 40-50 degrees saturday. Hopefully I get my boat back this saturday.
