    Ever wonder...

Why most boats have gas fills on the right side while most trucks have gas fills on the left side. What a pain if you are filling both before hitting the lake.
I know it's probably because it's on the drivers side, but most boats don't fill up at gas docks, they fill while being trailered...

Our truck and boat fill on the same side!!

My favorite thing to do is fill the boat and the truck at the same time $$$$$$$$$$

Me too! It's awesome because you don't have to worry about which side of the pump you pull up to.

Yep dual gas fills here too! I love it!

Also my old Tige had a single gas fill in the middle so it still didn't matter which side you pulled up to.. you just had to stretch the fuel pump over to the middle. So I've never had that problem w/ my Tigé's!
If you ain't falling.. you ain't trying hard enough..

I have wondered why my gas fill is on the left side of the boat, but the step to get in the boat without touching the vinyl is on the right side of the boat. That and the boat backs up to the right doesn't make sense either. The dual fill is one feature I will have to have on my next boat.

You know my truck is also on the fill cap on the same side as "THE MIGHTY TIGE" side so no worries, I also love those gas stations that have those little two foot curce walls next to the pump I just jump on that and pump away with ease not reaching high and holding the pump. But the wifes LR3 isnt but I can stretch the hose and make it on the other side cause its towers the rear end so no biggy!

What I also wanted to throw out there since this is related to the gas fill cap location does anyone have a better way to fill up your boat with out it splashing back at you when you get close to fill up? Its kinda annoying that it does that as it has splashed on my upholestry and me too and it stinks. Any solutions?, and please dont say fill up slow! thanks

                        Juice,

Do search, we had 2 threads in the past month about this, alot of good ideas, solutions and theories

When we started getting serious about a new boat, I jokingly told the wife we were NOT buying a boat that had the filler on the right

Kirk, I have an older Tige with 1 fill and it's on the same side as my truck. It's an F-150.
