Labor Day weekend plans

Whose got plans and what are they?

I am going to venture to the large waters of South Toledo Bend. Have never been there, so I hope it isn't full of stumps. As large as the resevoir is and the number of boats on it, tubing will probably be the #1 activity. We will for sure be cooking out every day and night. Follow your nose to the trinity getting saute'd. I hope local stores have stocked up on Coors Light for the neightbors that are going as well. I finally got around to ordering the anchor buddy and spike, so I'll be trying them out as well. Any tips?

Maybe I can get a few on the water photos of the old girl.

Toledo Bend when we went looked so bad that we didnt even put the boat in. Lots of trees and snakes. The campground was very nice. We are going to Lake Medina east of San Antonio very nice lake. We go there because we belong to Thousand Trails camping resorts. If you make it to any of our lakes let us know.

What days? and North or South sandbar. We should anchor one of our boats and ride off the other. Make some some plans and I'll see if I can round up some other Wylie Tiges.

Saturday- Get up at 6 am and get some coffee and off to the football office to break down the film from the game the night before. Synchronize the side and rear views and break them into Offense, Defense and special teams. Break down the film in terms of tackle chart. Break down film of next weeks opponents. Watch film with player of night before. Meet with position coaches and look at blocking schemes and pass protections. Formulate a general game for next opponent. Go home about 4 pm and a watch some college football and have a beer.

Sunday- Get up and have breakfast with the family and head to football complex at 10 am. type up game plan and make CD-Roms with all of the opponents plays. Photo copy they game plans and put game plans and CD roms on my door step for players to pick up after 5 pm Sunday. Finish about 2 pm and go home and watch Pro Football and drink a few beers. Or watch NASCAR with Bug and drink some beers. Do you notice the trend here

Monday (Labor Day)- game plan meeting at 1 pm, weightroom for players at 1:50, films at 2:20 and practice starts at 3:00 finishes at 6:30. Go home and get ready for the first day of school.

Labor day weekend has been about football for me for the last 23 years. As the saying goes we Labor on Labor day!

"Rock the Boat" Sunday 9/2/07 Sandbar Lake Norman,

We have an 85' Somerset House Boat called "Go Big or Go Home" that will drop anchor at noon we have a band starting at 1pm. Best party of the year for the Sandbar. Been a few Tige's out on Norman this year CP3 And Chpthril you guys should trailer up to Norman and get out of the mud on Wiley

Yeah campgrounds around here are top notch. Many of those are run the Sabine River Authority.

Snakes scared you off??? Snakes don't bother me that much. I'll only refrain from the water when alligators start swimming up to you b/c the ignorant a$$e$ throw them chicken to make them come out to the tour boats.

Stumps are a way of life around here....sometimes you gotta dodge them to play.

Going to PYRAMID LAKE on the I-5 with "THE MIGHTY TIGE" and my brothers "WALIBU" so Im pretty booked and it wont be just Saturday, Sunday, and Monday but TUESDAY,WEDNESDAYand maybe thursday.

That sucks coach doesnt sound like fun.

We'll be in Vegas Thursday thru Sunday so no boating but back on Monday and will probably try to hit the lake before it gets too crowded. Pull off when it does and then go back at dusk for a litttle glass.

That is my fun. That is why I coach. I love to game plan and work on improving. It is a lot of work, but well worth it. I found out years ago holiday weekends are for all of the guys who have to work all year around. So most places end up crowed and you fight traffic. I teach 187 days a year and do football stuff about 45 weeks a year. I still end up with about 6 weeks with no obligation to work or football which in turn gets me many vacations days.
Just not Labor Day.
