Okay, so you are 68 miles from Sacramento. We are not going to have dinner until 7:00pm so you can make it in for that. I might just go back to Concord or beyond late that night to get closer to home for the following morning.

no it's a friend's. He boards with me. Great guy, his sister is part owner of a Tige' dealership in Missouri. Still working out the details. One big one is if the ramps on Norman are all closed then we are out of luck. I put in at Beatties Ford Last weekend and it was 6ft. I was at the very end of the dock. What I'm worried about is if Duke will close all ramps. The word is that if the lake drops another foot they will close all public ramps.

I will give you a heads up Friday.

Thanks Tk, things are looking a bit dicey right now with the lake level.

I teach 187 days a year and do football stuff about 45 weeks a year. I still end up with about 6 weeks with no obligation to work or football which in turn gets me many vacations days.
                Just not Labor Day.
Coach-I coached my daughters softball team for 10 years. As she approached 18, every weekend had a tournament, 11 months a year, but the rewards and memories are priceless. We need dedicated people like yourself to lead our kids.
Hope you find some time to board. TD

We will be at Roosevelt Lake in sunny AZ for the long weekend. Last Sunday the water temp was 87 and the air was 87.2. Hard to beat these conditions, although it was a little cool for me.
We can usually be found in Solleme cove off Windy Hill at the east end of the lake or at the dam at noon for lunch.

Toledo Bend isn't that bad, we've been out on it several times. We will be at Lake Texana this weekend. If anyone else is let me know. We're staying at the RV park there.

No, there is no water coming down the Catawba or the South Fork. Drought is real bad in the mountains where the head waters for both these rivers are.

Mountain Island is the only one with water, but it is kept up because it is a source of drinking water.

Maybe I will clean and buff the boat. fix the bunks and tighten up the bolts. Watch some games like coach maybe. I know I will be a football game Friday night for High School. We will see if all the hard work the kids put in pays off. They have the best QB in the area playing for them. He is a good wake boarder also. But not allowed by his COACH during football season to take the chance to mess up somthing.

It is great that you spend so much time on behalf of the kids COACH. It really makes life rewarding to watch them grow and be a part of some of the most important years of there lives.
I just read this. Thanks for the kind words. I hate double days but it is a necessary evil. Today was kicking our *** as temps got close to triple digits. I still have very good relations with many ex-players and their families. It is a very cool dynamic, much more rewarding than teaching in that regard. Problem I see is having to keep up with the Jones' and that is what might burn me out. Today was a 14 hour day and have a few more ahead. I try to get away from football and read about wakeboarding as a break.
