Fueling up with the boat in the nose down position, to get rid of the 5 gal air pocket.

Fuel at half speed also. Haven't had a problem with gas being burped.

    Interesting find there Chad.....

Never yell at the wife or girlfriend wile they are trying to put the boat on the trailer.

Don't oil the teak swimstep the night before you go out.

Tell your passengers the proper way to open compartments, especially if they use button straps.

Spray Sunblock (I.e. Coppertone Spray Block) will temporaily bond itself directly to the Gelcoat. Make sure everyone stands up (make sure there is no boat down wind from where you are spraying) and is in a location so that the overspray does not end up on the gelcoat. I typically stand on the platform or in the bow, standing up on the seats.

aaaah gotcha! I didn't know if he meant the pump position. This made me think a little... (wheels spinning)

In our '95 Tige we NEVER had a problem fueling up, whether it be kicking off 10 gallons early or getting the fuel shower, we never had a problem. In that boat the fuel fill was on the transom in the middle parallel to the ground. Whenever we filled it we filled with the pump straight up. I'm wondering if you turned the pump 180 degrees from "normal" when using the side fills if it would help vent/flow/etc and would possibly prevent the geyser.. any thoughts??

                    Passengers

Always tell the passengers to not let the rope out over the seats at high speeds. It burns a rope burn into the vinyl.

                      unloading

Ensure the moron holding on to the dock line knows that when she hears the nasty grating sound of gel coat peeling off on to the trailer guide post that she should stop pulling on the bow line lest she increase the size of the already beautiful new scratch she just put in. Then make sure she knows you're really pissed and that her best response should be "Dude, it's not a big deal, it'll probably buff out. My friends Bayliner has a lot of scratches, it's no big deal."

Then never invite said friend out again.
Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

Better yet, don't give important jobs to those that don't own boats or have knowledge of boating. Just make them the cooler tender and do it all yourself

Never use babes boat soap on your sun deck just before you are about to stand on it to get to the swim step. D'oh! That stuff is slippery.

Going a little slow to the dock (or to the trailer) is better than going too fast. You can always bump in a little and steer some more. Can't steer in reverse, and popping into reverse to slow always gets you off track.
