I am with Daniel on recommending Tige Water Sports in Corona for the service.

    (Just to clear anything up)
His problem is with both. Read the Bluewater reunion thread.

I do think he should go back to Corona. It appears that other dealers seem to have a fix.

FIC also confimed BON saying it was a PP issue.

I do feel wakes frustration though. It is very frustrating going on the water and then not have your expensive boat perform. I hope he gets it worked out

      But Dom,

If PP failed to adhear to tiges guidelines then whose fault is it for using an out of spec part?

I mean if tige is knowingly using parts that don't spec on their boats then we are all in for some surprises!

And no dealer will be able to fix my boat.

The dealer cannot possibly make the PP spec to the MP.

      Its unresolvable then.

I must remove the PP or the motor.

        I don't need that.

I just want them to fix my freaking boat once and for all.

If it were different issues that pop up repeatedly that would be different.

I have had other things go wrong but they have not reoccurred.

          Wake,

I have the same boat as you but do not have the engine that you have. What about downsizing that engine since you have problems? The Vortec engine that I have works perfect and I have not had a problem with it. I know you bought the 6L engine but if you feel and you can see that there is a problem with that engine, why not allow Tige to give you an engine that they know works better?

What about taking the boat to Tige's manufacturing plant?

May be the final answer to remove the MP and replace.

I am going to take it to Tige Az as many here say they have seen this before.

Then if it reoccurs I shall employ an atty for resolution.

            Thanks for the tips!

Its true the problems are related to the engine.

No gel coat cracks, no upholstery problems.

I have never pursued the fuel gauge issues or the teak that so many of us 'enjoy'.

If the Perfect Pass and Mp are not compatible I am wasting my time.

I just want my boat to run during the few times I have left to boat with my kids before they grow up an leave!

              Jim you caught this too!

Thats HUGE that tige knows about the incompatibility between PP and MP!

It's a fools errand to try and resolve a PP issue on an MP equipped boat.

tige may bank on the hopes that the warranty runs out while a poor dealer struggles to patch their failure to use spec parts.

No you misread my angst as I offered it.

I picked the tws mechanic only because the thread stated a tws mechanic was on hand at the reunion.

Had it been a mechanic from another dealer I'd have said he'd quit.

I have stayed away from tws for reasons unrelated to the MP 6.0 engine problems.

Their mechanics had been great to me and my boat.

If it is a throttle by wire and PP issue. Why not see if they can replace the PP with the new tige speed control. Do not know if this can be done. Just a question to ask though.

DA Bell, which speed control do you have. PP or tige?

                      No biggie.

I should read this thread before and did not catch it.

What is a biggie is if tige knows that the Prefect Pass is not compatible with an MP engine!

Many 6.0 owners suffer from what I have been going through and the implications of this are enormous.

The dealers cannot resolve that and can only patch work and buy time for the factory in hopes no one ever figures this out.

Not all tige owners post or even know about this board.

I agree. Tige chose to use Perfect Pass. If throttle by wire, PP and MP are incompatible, Tige should also look for a solution for the owners affected

I know from previous posts the perculation issue has a fix. The PP issue, MP and throttle by wire should be fixed. Again can the new tige speed control be fitted on these boats.

I think Tige needs to also come up with the solution and the owners affected be notified.

IF it's true that the PP and MP are out of spec with each other no dealer can resolve this.

It'd be akin to using a Macintosh Motherboard and a Intel PC.

A dealer can buy time but never actually fix it.

Given the posts here at Tige owners it seems many of us 6.0 owners have the same problems. PP and percolation.

I even told Russ ate Boats of Nevada that Dom (phone diagnosis only) thought it is a percloation issue.

They said it was PP issue.

It might be made to work...

Again, I will not become an experiment ( beta tester ) for tige.

Apparently the factory has even sent a questioneer out to owners about the MP !

There's a thread on this very board about this - that I did not start.

Let me correct my statement , without haveing all the symtoms and being able to personally inspect your problem I was only giving my best possible causes of your problem, you could have a corrupted ecm program or a compatability problem between pp, but all of these problems could be adressed and taken care of , I can assume that your problems didnt occur right out of the shute , that for x ammount of hours everything worked correctly , so we would need to go back and see what changed when the problem started to occur. These would be all questions your tech should be asking you , example was any additions added on from the time of the purchase, there could be problem created. If I can be of any servise you can call me at 1 888 517 3178 . All the boats went to drive by wire , and all brands have had there share of problems , we get to work on every brand due to our certification and the boat industry doesnt get the amount of testing that the car industry ,so problems dont show up right away but several hours later.
