True, but again we don't have the U.S. Coast Guard hanging around the lakes very often. You do see them in the rivers in CA though. I would think this branch would be the enforcers of weighting of a boat.
We do Our lake crosses state lines so everyone has authority: 3 bordering counties, Coast Guard, NC and SC Wildlife That's ok, except there are diff laws depending on which part of the lake you are on. Luckily, they wont hassle you if you are within the law of the state that you are reg'd in.

Do you have a NV or SC driver license? they would probably just tell you to gt it changed unless they where writing a ticket for some thing else, then they would add that to it

Where is the metal plaque attached on a 2002 Tige 2300V? I was checked by the water patrol this weekend. We had 11 people in the boat and he thought that was too many for the boat. We all had life jackets so he just checked registration and moved on. Is it possible to get a new max capacity plaque for my boat? If so, who do I need to contact?
