It's a ski show. It's entertainment...same reason people watch NASCAR...to see car crashes.

I don't think it was intended. The subtitle is power turn gone wrong. The driver and passenger seem to be a bit shocked, and glad they are still above water. Whatever maneuver they were intending, I don't think this was it.

I agree, I don't think that it was intended. If you watch the driver just before they go under, it appears that he is surprised and doing something around the throttle area.

WOW! I've never seen anything like that! I can't tell if it was intended or not. I'd like to see it from a different angle. It almost looks like the boat is a reverse motion when they come back up. Then if you look after they put their hands up the driver is trying to put the boat in forward. I would assume that the engine probably died out with all of that water in the boat.

I think he is putting it in neutral, and then you see him feather the throttle. So either its running, or he is just playing with it.

Yeah, I thought he was in neutral, too, probably trying to keep the engine running.

I wondered if it was intentional as well. Watch the girl, she is looking for the wave, then she turns around and braces herself just before they go under. Just think, my kids get mad at me if I go under a wake accidentally, think I will show them this.

Did any of you read the comment that I posted about him bumping it into reverse? That makes complete sense...reverse would kick the stern up and force the nose down while it is still accelerating forward.

I think it was intended right before he went down you see his arm throw the throttle back and he jams the wheel hard right. After he immediately feathers the throttle to keep the engine running...if that was me I would be too surprised to even think about that. And he does look too shocked after.

Yeah the reverse would shoot you right back into your own wake, causing the back to go up and the bow go down.

I just took a second look at it, and when the boat came up out of the water it was going in reverse and then he went to forward. Why would you want to do that even in a MC?

Has to be intentional!!! He was prepared for the reverse immediately after he went under. She is wearing a life vest and prepared for the water. My Vote..... Intentional!!!!!

I agree intentional, but dumb none-the-less. Maybe they had several extra bilge pumps in the boat to empty it rapidly.

It was not intentional. It was a ski show where there were several other boats on the lake at same time, he was doing a high speed turn and the boat dropped into a valley just created by another boat at the wrong time where there was a cross wake (think double up). The girl was wearing a vest but it is a ski show after all.

That explains the vest and why he was kind of ready for it. I have seen some pretty creative driving at ski shows so the driver was probably pretty responsive. I thought the ski show title was a joke. I like watching the around the world driving.
