The 08 24Ve only holds 15 people. My 06 24Ve holds 16. does anyone know what happened and maybe why Tige reduce the number of passengers?

I think they randomly slap capacity stickers on. My boat says 15 people or 2,525 lbs....it's an RZ2.

I bet there is no change, more marketing, the RZ4 holds 17, and wanted it to be at least 2 people jump from Ve. My 2007 Ve is rated 16, and its the same boat.

It just seems odd that they would do that. Ragboy, you bring up a good thought thou. Who really says that these boats handle the amount of people they put on the stickers? If Tige is able to put what ever number they want, who says that the boats can't handle more than what the sticker says. Now again, I wouldn't put more than 13 in my boat at any given time but that is my standard and not what Tige says I can...

The that would dictate that all boats change every year even if the boat is old. Or, they think that the US is getting fatter and fatter each year... That would be 10% - 15% growth a year by some people....

No I dont think so. Its marketing. I just pulled my sticker off my boat so now no one can tell me how many I can have but I have only put 12 in my boat so far

Okay, I can see that the weight of the 24Ve has decreased also. Does it depend upon how light the boat is? Thus causing the reduction in people that can ride in the boat? So, where did the appx 90 lbs get reduced from. Did the boat have lippo done??? he he he

new technology and innovations lighter equip. or they are getting cheap on us and using less fiberglass

Just checked the site again to look at the spec's of the 24Ve. Guess what, it's back to the same weight and number of people as my 2006 24Ve... Now I wonder if Tige looks at this site and adjusts accordingly.
